Steps to delete your Instagram account in 2024: 1. Open the Instagram app on your smartphone 2. Next tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner to go to your profile. 3. Now, tap those three lines in the top right to open the menu. 4. Select Settings and privacy. 5. Now, tap Account Center. 6. Tap Personal details. 7. Tap Account ownership and control. 8. Tap Deactivation or deletion. 9. Select the account that you would like to delete. 10. To permanently delete your Instagram account, select Delete account then tap on Continue. 11. Now select the reason why you are deleting your Instagram account, then tap Continue. 12 Enter your Instagram password, then tap Continue. 13. Finally, tap Delete account to confirm the deletion of your Instagram account.
After taking the steps to delete your account, it will first be deactivated for 30 days. During deactivation, your account won't be visible to public. After 30 days, your account will be completely deleted, so make sure to not log back in for the next 30 days.
